Properties for Sale in Costalita

The area is defined by low-rise apartment complexes and a handful of villas, most built in the 1980s and 1990s, with mature gardens and direct access to a wide sandy beach.

The neighbourhood sits on both sides of the N-340, with beachfront buildings facing Playa del Saladillo and hillside properties climbing gently toward the AP-7 motorway. Most of the architecture is low-density Mediterranean style, with whitewashed façades, terracotta roofs, and shared amenities that include pools, tennis courts, and landscaped grounds. Property for sale in Costalita tends to appeal to buyers seeking a quieter alternative to the busier developments closer to San Pedro or Marbella, while still being within a five-minute drive of Puerto Deportivo José Banús and its restaurants, shops, and marina. The beachfront here is one of the widest on the New Golden Mile, backed by a promenade that runs east toward San Pedro and west toward Estepona town. The surrounding area offers access to Flamingos Golf and several other courses, and Hospital Hospiten de Estepona is less than ten minutes away by car. Supermarkets, beach clubs, and a handful of local bars and cafés are scattered along the coast road, though most residents drive to San Pedro or Puerto Banús for a wider choice of services. Costalita property is typically owner-occupied or used as a holiday home, with a resident community that includes northern European families, retirees, and Spanish owners. The infrastructure is well-established, and the scale of the developments means the area remains calm outside the peak summer months. The proximity to the beach and the ease of access to both Marbella and Estepona make Costalita real estate a practical option for buyers who want a relaxed coastal setting without the density or noise of larger resort zones. The neighbourhood does not have its own commercial centre, so day-to-day shopping and dining usually involve a short drive. The beachside location and the layout of the complexes mean that ground-floor apartments often come with private garden terraces, while upper units offer sea views. Parking is generally allocated, and most buildings have been updated over the years with improved security and refurbished communal areas.
