Properties for Sale in Casares

The municipality includes hillside homes in the village itself, golf and country properties along the lower slopes, and beachside developments near the Duquesa marina.

The old village of Casares clings to a rocky outcrop fifteen kilometres inland from the coast. Narrow whitewashed streets lead up to the remains of a Moorish castle, and the setting offers mountain air and long coastal views without the density of the seafront towns. Most village properties are traditional townhouses, some requiring renovation, others updated with modern interiors while keeping the original structure. The pace here is quiet, with local bars and a handful of restaurants serving residents rather than tourists. The lower part of the municipality spreads across gentler terrain between the village and the coast. This area is home to several golf courses and gated developments that attract buyers looking for space, privacy, and green surroundings. Properties here range from detached villas with private pools to terraced houses and ground-floor apartments in landscaped communities. Many homes have golf or mountain views, and the setting feels rural yet remains within a short drive of Estepona and the beaches around Duquesa. The coastal edge of Casares includes Casares Costa, a stretch of low-rise developments close to the Puerto Deportivo de la Duquesa marina. This part of the municipality offers beachside living with direct access to the promenade, marina restaurants, and water sports. Properties here tend to be apartments and penthouses in smaller complexes, many with sea views and communal pools. The area suits buyers who want coastal convenience while avoiding the busier centres further east. Casares draws buyers looking for a mix of traditional Andalusian character and practical access to the coast. The village appeals to those who value authenticity and a slower rhythm, while the golf estates and coastal zone attract families and retirees seeking modern amenities in a less developed part of the western Costa del Sol. The municipality sits roughly halfway between Estepona and Sotogrande, with the A-7 coast road and AP-7 toll motorway providing links in both directions. The Hospital de Alta Resolución de Estepona serves the area, and Malaga airport is around an hour away by car.
