Los Boliches offers apartment living within easy reach of the beach, local shops, and Fuengirola centre. The neighbourhood attracts year-round residents and international buyers drawn to its compact, walkable layout and mix of older low-rise blocks and newer developments.
Apartments los boliches fuengirola range from simple studio units near the train station to three-bedroom layouts closer to Playa de los Boliches. Many buildings date from the 1980s and 1990s, though the area has seen steady renovation and new construction over the past decade. Blocks typically sit within a five to ten-minute walk of the beach, and most include a shared pool and entry intercom. Ground-floor units sometimes come with a small patio, while top-floor homes may offer a private solarium. The local infrastructure suits buyers who prefer daily errands on foot. Supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and medical clinics line the main streets, and the Fuengirola commuter train stops at Los Boliches station. Puerto Deportivo de Fuengirola lies within a fifteen-minute walk, and the C-1 train connects to Málaga airport in under forty minutes. The neighbourhood retains a year-round Spanish population alongside northern European residents, so shops and services stay open through winter. Apartments for sale in Los Boliches suit downsizers, retirees, and remote workers who value convenience over garden space. Parking is usually allocated as a separate numbered space in the basement, and storage rooms are common but not universal. Community fees cover exterior maintenance, pool cleaning, and building insurance, with older blocks sometimes requiring additional levies for lift upgrades or facade work. Buyers should review the community meeting minutes and reserve-fund balance before signing. The legal process mirrors the rest of Andalucia. A lawyer will check the nota simple from the Land Registry, confirm that community fees and local rates are paid, and arrange signing at the notary. Resale apartments incur property transfer tax, while newly built units carry VAT and stamp duty. Most buyers appoint a Spanish bank account and obtain an NIE number early in the process to avoid delays at completion.

Two-bedroom, one-bathroom layouts dominate the older stock, with kitchens often separated rather than open-plan. Ground-floor apartments appeal to buyers with mobility concerns or pets, though street-facing units can be noisier. Middle floors balance privacy and lift access, while top-floor homes sometimes include a rooftop solarium but may lack insulation against summer heat in older buildings.
Streets west of the train line, closer to Campo Los Lagos, see less through-traffic and attract more permanent residents. The area near the beach promenade is livelier, with more bars and seasonal visitors. Blocks set back from the main Paseo Marítimo tend to offer larger communal gardens and lower noise, though you may sacrifice immediate sea views.
The neighbourhood is one of the most walkable on the Costa del Sol. The train station connects directly to Málaga, Torremolinos, and Benalmádena, and local buses run frequently to Mijas and inland villages. Supermarkets, the health centre, and the beach are all within a ten-minute walk of most apartment blocks. Many long-term residents rely entirely on public transport and taxis.
Retirees, remote professionals, and second-home buyers who value low-maintenance living and proximity to services make up the majority. Families with school-age children often look further inland for more space and gardens, while buyers seeking golf access or larger terraces may prefer Mijas Golf or La Cala. Los Boliches suits those who prioritise walkability, beach access, and community living over privacy and outdoor space.
