New Developments in Casares Playa, Casares

Casares Playa is the coastal strip of Casares, which lies further inland on the hillside. The two parts of the town are separated by several kilometres and the A-7 coast road, so most buyers choose one or the other rather than treating them as a single place. Casares Playa runs along the shore between La Duquesa marina to the west and Estepona to the east, with the beach about 900 metres from most homes.

The new-build stock here is villas rather than apartments. They are built with four or five bedrooms and sold off-plan, so buyers reserve them during construction and complete once the building is finished. The setting is low-rise and residential, with shops and services within the immediate area. Estepona town centre is about 17 minutes by car, and the marina at La Duquesa is about 9 minutes in the other direction.

Golf Academy Albayt Resort is the nearest course, about 8 minutes by car, and several others lie within 20 minutes along the coast. The hospital in Estepona is about 10 minutes away. Gibraltar Airport is about 42 minutes by car, and Málaga Airport is about an hour further east.

Buyers here are looking for a detached home close to the beach without the density of Estepona or Marbella. The villas are built on individual plots rather than in apartment blocks, so the setting is quieter and more spread out. Most of the homes are new rather than resale, because the area has been developed recently and much of the stock is still under construction.
