La Sierrezuela is a residential area in the Sierrezuela district of Fuengirola, positioned on the hillside above the town centre on the Costa del Sol.
As of June 2026, properties here range from €440,000 to €1,345,000, with an average price per square metre of €2,279. The development is built around villas and townhouses rather than apartments, giving it a low-density, residential character that distinguishes it from the high-rise blocks closer to Fuengirola's seafront.
the area offers communal gardens, a swimming pool, and 24-hour security within its perimeter. The architecture leans toward traditional Mediterranean styling, with whitewashed facades, terracotta roofs, and private terraces that take advantage of the elevated position. The hillside location means most properties enjoy views over Fuengirola and the coastline, though access involves navigating sloped streets. The atmosphere is quiet and residential, attracting a mix of permanent residents and second-home buyers who prefer space and privacy over walking distance to amenities. Families and retirees make up the majority of residents, drawn by the secure environment and the balance between proximity to town and separation from tourist areas.
The three active listings in June 2026 include two villas and one townhouse, reflecting the property mix across the development. The wide price spread, from €440,000 to €1,345,000, indicates variation in size, plot, and condition rather than a uniform product. At €2,279 per square metre, La Sierrezuela sits in the mid-to-upper range for Fuengirola, reflecting the gated status and hillside position but not commanding the premiums seen in beachfront or golf-adjacent developments. The limited number of active listings suggests either low turnover or a smaller overall development, making opportunities here less frequent than in larger residential areas nearby.
This area suits buyers who want a detached or semi-detached home in a secure, quiet setting within Fuengirola's municipal boundaries. It does not offer the walkability of central locations, and the hillside terrain may not suit those with mobility concerns. Parking is private rather than communal, and most properties include outdoor space, either gardens or large terraces.
