FAQ
Yes. Altos de Almendros is a gated community with controlled access and perimeter security. Entry is managed, so only residents and their guests pass through. This setup suits people who leave a home empty for part of the year and want it watched over while they are away.
Residents in this Benahavís complex share a communal pool, landscaped gardens and on-site security. The gardens and pool are maintained through the community, so upkeep of the shared areas is handled collectively rather than falling to each owner alone.
It works for both. The gated setting and gardens appeal to families, while the mix of terraces and shared grounds also suits a lock up and leave holiday home. Benahavís sits back in the hills, so daily life here is quieter than a beachfront resort.
Altos de Almendros sits in the hills above the Costa del Sol, near several golf courses. The style is low-rise with green spaces between the buildings. You get mountain air and calm surroundings, with the coast and Marbella reachable by car rather than on foot.
Yes, plan on a car. The complex sits in the hills of Benahavís, so the beach, Marbella and daily shops are a drive rather than a walk. The trade-off is a quieter, greener setting away from the busier coastal strip.
