The setting sits inland from the Mediterranean shoreline, surrounded by forested hills and positioned within easy reach of the western Costa del Sol's beaches and marinas.
Benahavis is known for its Andalusian pueblo character, wooded valleys, and proximity to several golf courses that wind through the lower foothills. The area around La Quinta Greens offers access to the restaurants and cafés for which Benahavis has long been known, as well as mountain trails and country roads suited to walking or cycling. The coast itself lies a short drive away, bringing sandy beaches, watersports, and the leisure infrastructure of Marbella and Puerto Banús within practical reach. The town retains a quieter pace than the beachfront resorts, with whitewashed streets and local markets that draw both residents and visitors. La Quinta Greens tends to appeal to buyers looking for a base on the Costa del Sol that sits away from the busiest coastal strips but keeps the beaches, golf, and international schools of the region accessible. Families, second-home owners, and those seeking a blend of countryside calm and resort proximity often consider properties in this part of Benahavis.

FAQ
Yes. La Quinta Greens is a gated complex with controlled access and security in place. That suits owners who leave a home empty for parts of the year, since the grounds stay managed and access stays restricted whether you are there or not.
The nearest beach is Playa de San Pedro, 4.9 km away, about 10 minutes by car. This is a drive rather than a walk, so a car is useful here. In return the complex sits back from the busiest coastal strips, in the quieter setting of La Quinta.
Residents share a pool and gardens, with security across the complex. These are communal, so the upkeep is handled by the community rather than each owner, and a share of the running cost falls under community fees.
The setting works well for golf. Magna Marbella Golf is 1.8 km away, about 7 minutes by car, and the wider La Quinta area sits among several courses in the foothills above the coast. Handy if golf is part of the reason you are buying.
For day to day needs a supermarket is 2.5 km away, about 7 minutes by car, and the Ambulatorio de Nueva Andalucía is 2.4 km. Aloha College, an international school, is 3.5 km away. San Pedro Alcántara, the nearest town, is 3.4 km, about 8 minutes by car.
Málaga Airport is 48 km from La Quinta, about 61 minutes by car along the A-7. That is a manageable run for guests and for regular trips, though it is not a short hop, so factor in the drive when planning visits.
