Explore the La Alquería area guide.
La Alqueria is a residential area in Benahavis on the Costa del Sol. Set in the hills above the coast, it offers villas, fincas and penthouses in a mix of country and urbanisation settings.
The location balances quiet residential surroundings with proximity to the town, local schools and golf courses.
Most homes come with private pools, private gardens and covered terraces. Air conditioning and double glazing are standard across the community. Many properties include mountain views, panoramic outlooks and terraces that open to garden or pool scenes. Some homes face the golf course or enjoy glimpses of the sea. Garages and storage rooms are common, and many properties have ensuite bathrooms, barbecue areas and solariums. Underfloor heating, fireplaces and alarm systems feature in a number of homes, while some include gyms, saunas, basements and guest houses. A few properties offer domotics, fibre optic connectivity and lift access.
La Alqueria suits families who want space and security close to schools and amenities. The combination of private outdoor areas and mountain or golf views appeals to year-round residents and second-home owners who value privacy and natural surroundings. Golfers benefit from the short distance to local courses, and those who enjoy a quieter pace while remaining within reach of shops and the coast will find the balance practical.
