FAQ
Yes. Atalaya Hills has a gated perimeter with controlled access, and entry phone systems serve the homes. This means access to the community is managed rather than open, which suits both year-round residents and those who leave the property empty between visits.
Playa Atalaya is 3.4 km away, about 9 minutes by car. This is a drive rather than a walk, since the complex sits inland of the A-7 coastal road on higher ground. The trade-off is the elevated setting and quiet that come with the position.
A supermarket is 0.7 km away, about 4 minutes by car, so daily shopping is close but easiest with a car given the hilly setting. San Pedro Alcántara is 3.1 km, and Puerto Deportivo José Banús is 6.6 km. Most everyday errands here are done by car.
Residents share communal pools, a gym, a sauna, and a bar, plus underground parking or garage spaces and lifts in the buildings. Shared facilities like these carry community fees for upkeep, so budget for those alongside the purchase.
It works for families. The International School of Estepona is 2.5 km away, about 8 minutes by car, and everyday shops are close. Health care is also within reach, with the Ambulatorio de Nueva Andalucía 4.7 km away, about 15 minutes by car.
Gibraltar Airport is 48 km away, about 59 minutes by car. That is a manageable run for visitors and for a holiday home, though it is not the closest major airport, so factor in the drive when planning trips to and from the Costa del Sol.
