FAQ
Yes. Hacienda de Casares in Doña Julia has gated, controlled access, and the grounds are patrolled by security. This matters most if you plan to leave the apartment empty for stretches, as the entry controls reduce the worry of a lock-up-and-leave home on the Costa del Sol.
The nearest beach is 2.8 km away, about 11 minutes by car. That is a drive rather than a walk. The complex sits inland of the A-7 coastal road in an elevated position, so you trade beachfront access for sea and mountain views across the development.
Doña Julia golf is close, with the parte alta section just 0.4 km away, about 3 minutes by car. The setting places you among golf courses rather than directly beside a single fairway, which suits players who want easy tee times without living on the course edge.
Most daily errands in Doña Julia need a car. The nearest supermarket is 2.8 km, about 10 minutes by car, and Estepona town is 8.7 km, about 24 minutes. The elevated, inland position gives views and quiet but leaves shops and services a short drive away rather than on the doorstep.
Gibraltar Airport is 29 km away, about 46 minutes by car, which is manageable for visitors and owners who travel often. For boating and waterside dining, Puerto Deportivo de la Duquesa is 4.6 km, about 14 minutes by car.
Hacienda de Casares works well for families who want space and security near Estepona's schools and services, and for golfers given the courses alongside. The gated entry and shared pool, gardens and parking also suit owners who want a holiday home they can leave closed between visits.
